Nature's Sunshine Irritable Bowel Fiber, Soothe your Intestinal System
Irritable Bowel Fiber Blend [Intestinal] was formulated to provide essential nutritional support to the bowel. Years of continued dietary abuse along with other contributing factors such as stress, fatigue and lack of exercise may result in colon malfunction, constipation, diarrhea, spasms and other related discomfort. Irritable Bowel Fiber Blend contains soluble, viscous, fermentable fiber and insoluble, non-viscous, slowly fermentable fiber. Viscous dietary fiber has a positive effect on human health both in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases. Soluble fiber is being used to treat inflammatory intestinal disease, for control of diarrhea and in irritable bowel syndrome. NSP includes the following herbs and nutrients that exert beneficial effects on the digestive and the immune systems. Short-chain Fructooligosaccharides, (SCFOS)-dietary fiber, Slippery elm, Flax meal, Marshmallow, Apple pectin, Peppermint leaf, Fennel, Chamomile, Uña de Gato, Asparagus. Many of these are high in mucilage, allowing them to offer demulcent and soothing effects on the gastrointestinal tract. Pectin is an important polysaccharide with the ability to form gel. Peppermint aids digestion and has been shown to have carminative and antispasmodic properties. Uña de gato supports the immune system. SCFOS has been shown to help with both diarrhea and constipation. Mix 1 scoop in water or juice and take with meals up to four times daily.
